Your St. Patrick’s Day Guide

Whether you want to stick close to the Kemah Boardwalk or you’re up for a major festival in nearby Houston, there are countless ways to celebrate the best party of the season. The annual Seabrook Lucky Trail Marathon is hosted by the Seabrook Trail System every March. Sign up for a full marathon or opt for a two- or four-person relay. It’s known for the excellent goodie bags and huge after-race party.

In Houston, you get Midtown’s Biggest St. Paddy’s Day Party at the Irish Cowboy. Saddle up to the third floor for green beer, live music, and 45,000 sprawling square feet of party space. McGonigel’s Mucky Duck Pub is another popular draw with authentic Celtic food, music and dance from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Corned beef and cabbage, Guinness pie and fish and chips are served all day.

Good in Green

The Pimlico Irish Pub in Houston has plenty of party favors, bag pipers, and the green beer flows all day. There’s also Saint Arnold Brewpub’s annual party with free admission. Seasonal brews will be available and pair perfectly with the Irish stew. The beard growing competition is the highlight of the night, and you don’t want to miss out on the contenders.

In the Seabrook area, there are also a variety of Irish pubs offering up fun and mischief all day long. Check out Molly’s Pub at 400 Texas Ave. in Kemah. Boondoggles with their wood-fired pizza is at 4106 E. NASA Pkwy, El Lago. Which pub will be your first destination?
