A Seabrook St. Patrick’s Day
Start your long holiday weekend right with the famous Seabrook Lucky Trail Marathon from March 17 – 19. Don’t worry, participants won’t be running all three days! Three distinct races are held throughout the gorgeous (and green) Seabrook trails boasting incredible habitats of both fresh and saltwater marsh tucked against the Galveston Bay coastline.
Race by wetlands, enjoy diverse bird and wildlife sanctuaries, and give your joints a break with the crushed granite trail surfaces. Most participants tackle one race, but you’re welcome to take on more. A popular race series, it’s become famous for fantastic swag bags, an awesome after party and supportive volunteers. Register here.
You’ll find parties at pubs, restaurants and lounges throughout Seabrook and into Houston, but La Poz Café offers one of the best celebrations. Located in the heart of Seabrook, you’ll find French-infusion sandwiches, soups and salads on the menu. Their St. Patrick’s Day specials include half off all beers, and live music goes from 6 – 9 p.m. Enjoy Irish bacon and cabbage soup, corned beef and cabbage, and lemon-lime bars.
The Seabrook House offers a sober St. Patrick’s Day option for families. This fun-filled celebration includes contests, plenty of green, arts and crafts for the kids, and of course non-alcoholic Irish treats and goodies.
